The Jermilov Solid typeface by Kyiv Type Foundry follows the typographic principles of the Ukrainian avant-garde artist Vasyl Yermilov (1894–1968). The insertion of the Cyrillic letter Д into the word Diary introduces a quirky, playful twist, referencing the aesthetics of Cyrillic script and evoking the cultural landscape of Boris Mikhailov’s Ukraine. This typographic detail reinforces the visual and conceptual tone of the photographs—a tone the typeface echoes with playful precision.
